The question many of our customers ask, is “are the Termicure Termite Baits as good as what the professionals install?” Simply, the answer is YES.
The largest distributor of termite baits in Australia, produces a traditional termite bait, which includes an attractant (timber) for aggregating termites into the station for treatment. In a nutshell, this is all a conventional termite bait station consists of. There are no poisons or any toxins to control the termites. It’s then up to the servicing of the stations to locate any activity and apply a toxin. That’s it! It’s a very simple process.
This is how the Termicure Termite Baits were conceived. They were a very good array of attractant materials, and they were designed to make treatment simple with multiple treatment options available. However, since the introduction of Termiticide Rods by Sentricon, Termite Baiting has changed, and the opposition has been left behind. Termicure adapted to the introduction of the new technology, and have now included the Sentricon ‘Always Active’ Rods in their range.
So what does this mean?? Well, instead of monthly monitoring and feeding of active stations, there is no need for the introduction of toxins for termite control. The Termiticide Rods are the attractant, (Sentricon claims that the rods are MORE palatable than timber), and they are also the poison to eradicate the termite colony. So basically, with the Termicure ‘Active’ product (a combination of the Termicure Termite bait stations and the ‘Always Active’ Termiticide Rods) installed at your home, you are providing protection from the moment the first station is installed.
This process has been simplified to the point where as long as you follow some simple guidelines for installation and monitoring, your Termite Professional is not able to provide you with any better protection with a conventional termite bait system. It might sound too good to be true, but its a fact. You can now install and maintain your own Termite Baiting system as well as any professional, for around half of the money, and just as effectively.
There are many gimmicks where manufacturers claim that a DIY product is as good as the professional (just go to Bunnings…), but the application still needs professional knowledge or a high skill level to perform the task properly. Well this is different. The Termicure Termite Baits can be installed and managed by the homeowner to be just as effective as a professional system-only cheaper.
